Since embarking on this journey in January 2024, I've experienced a profound transformation in how I communicate, both professionally and personally. Initially, the focus was on building rapport and improving interactions with my superiors and co-workers. By mastering techniques such as sleight of mouth and reframing, I learned to shift perspectives and effectively influence outcomes.
The real breakthrough came when I began applying these same principles in my personal life, particularly with my immediate family. The concepts of deep listening and framing not only helped in understanding the structure and intent behind words but also allowed me to navigate conversations with greater empathy and clarity. This process has been an eye-opener, revealing how powerful language can be in shaping experiences and relationships. The ability to reframe and adapt communication strategies has significantly enriched my connections, making every interaction more meaningful and constructive

I have been doing the meditation every morning and I can really see a diffrence in the start of my day. My breathing is getting better and mind is more calm. Still doing the shadow shooting in the night, my visualisation is slowly improving.

Basketball is a team game; we knew how to play it as a team very well, but I doubt if we knew how to connect with each other from our minds. Mark, you taught us that. That made us see the real potential in us. That made it a lot easier to achieve our goal.
One day you told me that, "success is how well you recover, more than the numbers on board."
That phrase is tattooed on my heart. It made me realize that we are always going to have ups and downs in our lives and must face them. It's not always about yourself; disappointing things happen, and those things happen for a reason, so we must recover. By recovering, we improve ourselves.
Thank you very much, Mark. I am forever grateful for you.

My name is Chamikara Edirisinghe and I'm a professional cricketer.
I have been playing first-class cricket in Sri Lanka for over a decade, and I still have this feeling in my mind whether I'm going to do well in this game or not. It is a huge pressure that I put on myself even before the game.
And I have this if something doesn't go well on my side, I always get frustrated quickly.
But this was before I met Mark, and Mark is an excellent coach who helps you train your mind and overcome situations like that.
I have improved so much in my game after having a couple of sessions with Mark.
If you have any issues like that, Mark is the ideal person you need to talk to...

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the coaching session recently conducted.
Mr Mark’s expertise, guidance, and dedication to our learning experience were truly invaluable, and I wanted to share some feedback on the feeling and ideas generated during our session.
The coaching session left me feeling inspired, motivated, and more confident in my ability to communicate effectively and make positive changes in my life. His passion for coaching shone through, creating a warm and inclusive environment that allowed all of us to open up and learn.
Mr Mark’s ability to break down complex concepts into understandable, relatable parts was impressive. I appreciated the structured approach that was used to deliver the content, making it easier for us to grasp and apply in real-life situations.
His real-life examples and practical experiences were eye-opening, it helped me see how coaching could be applied to various aspects of life, from personal development to professional growth. Furthermore, his communication style was engaging and interactive, which kept the entire session interesting and allowed for active participation. It made learning a pleasure.

It was a wonderful session. In fact, I personally spoke with Mark soon after the session was over. I appreciated him educating us on this area and that he proved that money is not everything when you said that Mark did the session free of charge. Myself personally as a trainer, this was very useful for me since lot more people going to benefit out of this knowledge.

First of all, thank you for arranging a wonderful training session. As I informed you, Mark have proven a very good resource person having so much of expertise in his pocket. Personally, I am so much interested in phycology, specially when put it in to practice. I think we can make use of Mark’s expertise in following areas to elevate supervisory skills in leaders at all levels.
1. Achieve inner peace and maintain clear thinking – practices and exercises to get rid of stress related issues, which allows making effective decisions.
2. Employee related problem solving - Digging in to issues affecting efficiency and assist subordinates to come out of such issues in their own ways.
3. Motivation – developing go getter attitude
4. Influencing – effective ways to keep subordinates in their course.
5. Creating cohesive work place.

I strongly agree and the training session was extremely resourceful for me to develop my problem solving skills, which are arising during the day- to-day operations in my department.
As Mr. Mark Thrimavithana, guided me how to address and overcome the issue of habitual late comers in my department. I used his technics which i learned from his excellent coaching session.
I am happy to say that, after guiding both staff members who were habitually late, are now reporting to the office on time. Before even I could reached the office.
I hope and pray that they will continue the same.

Mark has been a very supportive presence for my elder son. They continue to share a close bond & my son often looks up to Mark for advice or insights into an issue. He has been more than a coach to our family. Deeply grateful.

Not knowing when to ask for help is often what leads us into darkness. Asking for help seems harder when there's so much stigma around mental health. In a field that shows very slow growth and openness Mark creates an environment that is friendly, calm and comfortable. Would love to recommend him for anyone who feels a bit or a lot lost...

'I had my concerns on the first day I walked up to his office. At the time I was going through alot of negativity so I decided to go with an open mind. But now after a few sessions later, I was sad when he said your problems are sorted dont come. To cut a long story short he is like a genie who grants wishes, it was that magical to me. But instead of a standard genie who give physical things, this genie completely turned around my thinking and bought out the leader who was about to die inside because of all negativity that I was letting me take on. He saved my life psychological and I m truly grateful for that. I m writing this review on that basis. Cheers Mark! "

I agreed to take up the opportunity I was offered to follow the NLP training not realising, what a magical transformation it would bring to my life.
I must admit that the training was quite intense, however as I progressed I gradually sank into its practices which helped in my understanding and growth.
The training helped me in building self-awareness, knowing my worth and value, and cultivating a positive mindset. I became more confident in myself.
This shift happened by changing the way I think and learned to organise my thoughts in a positive manner. I now make an effort to consciously choose the right words when I speak ,in NLP language "I changed my internal representation".
I started looking at situations from a broader perspective and try to inspire others in the manner I communicate with them. this in turn results in influencing the others around me to have a better feeling and plant a positive thought in their minds too.
I think taking up NLP initiated creating a powerful personal development for myself, to look at the opportunities and possibilities. I am in the process of getting a better understanding of myself and others around me, and also being able to empower others, this leads and directs me to find the purpose of my life.
Talking about my trainer Mark, he turns out to be so passionate about this subject, shares his knowledge from his heart.
Mark has the ability to get across the most difficult concepts in a practical approach making it easy for us to understand. He was always ready to further share his knowledge combined with his experiences to make learning easier by sharing with us many stories that were relevant to his teaching and we could relate easily.
The training was conducted in his home which had a great ambiance in line with his energy.

Thank you Mark… mostly cause you taught me to focus within to understand myself… which I had never done… Now I understand that I need to respect myself… and I’m important too in the equation… my life, my feelings, and my rights are equally valid, which I need to respect, and if that is being compromised… I need to stand up to safeguard it… And now I never want to disregard me ever! Coz I love myself.

We lost today's match against Wesley, but it was a fantastic fight. I took two wickets, and my bowling was much better than the previous before. I believe it's because of the visualization approach I used, since I was able to bowl to the target I want.

I read that and wholeheartedly agreed. I genuinely experienced it myself, as I previously stated, I was unable to concentrate on my studies; nevertheless, it is all in the mind, as I discovered yesterday after a deep thought when I awoke, just as you suggested. Thank you very much.

I went for the England tour, u-19 Asia cup, and u-19world cup in a total of about 5-6 months' time. And in those times i got the minimum amount of practice as a player. Up to that point in cricket, I probably practice for about 7 days a week and i take a break if I absolutely have to . And i always took myself for a player who needs a lot of practice. But as i said in those times i didn’t get even close to the practices that i did before. So when I spoke about this with my coach mark he told me some mental and physical exercises to do on a daily basis which I wasn’t quite sure at first. Because there were times that I didn’t get a proper practice for like 1-2 months straight. However, i did all of those exercises as he told me and when i came back to Sri Lanka i had a game in 3 days. And at this point, I haven’t held a bat or put on pads for a long time but I kept my focus on and had some throw downs with my friends for like 2 days and the first game I played i got 70 runs. I couldn’t believe myself i was getting back to my original form in 3-4 days and on a tournament game of u-23 i got 99 runs on the first game. This was huge eye-opener for me as in if u have the mental strength and true self-belief there’s nothing that can stop u from achieving greatness

I did bowl a bit yesterday. I was more accurate than earlier. I felt a difference, and I really want to see how it’s going to affect me during the match. Overall, I think there is an improvement, sir.

The biggest improvement I see is that I can focus more now when I’m batting. All other things are completely fine too: fielding, bowling, and managing studies as well.

Sail through the Storm was definitely a wonderful experience. I learned alot by participating in this program. For example: Not everyone have the same thoughts and are not the same as I am, and I have learned that I should respect that in spite of my opinions. This program made me question myself "Did I understand the people surrounded me well?" Definitely, this program was worth the time and effort. This program helped me in many ways such as: to understand people and their perceptions of the world. Then I learned that only good values can actually drive me to a goal I want to achieve. Sail through the storm taught me that during Covid - 19 where we all are facing different problems how we have to focus on something during this time and actually spread what we've learned to others. Sail through the storm showed me different aspects of the world and most of all gave me the essential tools to overcome my problems. This program was truly a turning point to me as it helped me to understand various paths of this world. Firstly I need to thank my parents for enrolling me in this wonderful program. Last but not least I thank Uncle Mark for his never-ending effort and support and Aunty Sashi for her marvellous stories and time and effort.
Thank you

The programme was an eye opener. It led the kids to think twice on the things that they do unintentionally. Also, it teaches the child how to set your own goals and follow by.
Nilupa Rajakaruna (Parent).
It was a great workshop especially under this type of a situation. I am very sure that my daughter learnt a lot and had a different kind of experience. Actually at the beginning she was bit backwards to participate, but after about 30 minutes she enjoyed a lot in participating in it. I noticed that you have organized it well and the program got gradually tougher. As parents, we also learnt a lot of things that are essential for our lives with our children.
Finally thank you Mark & Shashi for a great job.

Hi Mark Uncle,
Thank you for your motivation and encouragement given to us in many ways by this program. This program was a very big eye opener for me to think in a positive way in all my problems. When my thaththi wanted me to join this program, I was very scared because this is the first time I am experiencing something like this in my life.
After the first day I felt that the program was very interesting and easy. I am sad now because tomorrow is the final day.
As school children we all have different problems and unexpected situations, from school friends, relations and even sometimes with parents, but from the influence and the help I got from you and from the program it helped me to think differently and overcome issues.
Uncle Mark I want to tell you that you are a very kind and loving person. Thank you once again for initiating this program during this troubled times, enrolling me for it and spending your time in coaching us. God Bless you.

Genuinely one of the best online workshops that our kid attended during this critical situation. Mr. Mark Thrimawithana and Ms.Shashi are excellent instructors. We spend our entire day meaningfully and creatively.
During the program, we noticed that you were using simple exercises, tools, and techniques for the kids to gain knowledge according to their age. It was inspiring, informative and easy to follow for the kids. We appreciate you a lot for doing that. And also, before you started the workshop, you were playing a mind-blowing song for the kids. It was a wonderful preparation for the kids to enter a new day with the freshness of their minds. Brainstorming was also excellent. Aunt Shashi's way of storytelling was also energizing and engaging the kids to participate in the program enthusiastically.
Hopefully, our kids will improve their positive thinking power, focussing and planning on their future dreams fruitfully.
We honor Mark Thrimawithana and his team for giving the opportunity to the kids to participate in the program, “Sail Through Storm.” We do really appreciate it. Best wishes for your endeavour. Overall, the online organized workshops and arraignments are great. Good luck !

Dear Uncle Mark,
I Thank You, and Aunty Shashi for this wonderful experience to me. It was very interesting and also I learnt many important things. So once again thank you so much for both of you for sparing your time and for giving me the opportunity to learn.
Warm regards,

Dear Uncle Mark & Aunty Sashi,
Thank you for organizing this programme. It is really nice of you two to carry on this programme in the crisis that has taken place. this is a very useful programme seeing that I have learnt a lot. I understand now that before this programme I was really negative and now I feel a real urge to change and be positive. I used to get distracted to even small things but now I know the things I should focus and how much they are important. I drew this picture to put in front of my table. Now, I understand to see others point of view and consider it.
Thank you for your ur hard work!
